A CHARTER ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 OF CHARTER ORDINANCE NO. 4, AS AMENDED BY CHARTER ORDINANCE NO. 50, PROVIDING SUBSTITUTE PROVISIONS FOR K.S.A. 12-1009 REGARDING MEETINGS OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF CITIES OF THE FIRST CLASS; AND REPEALING CHARTER ORDINANCE NO. 50.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF NEWTON, KANSAS:

SECTION 1.  Section 2 of Charter Ordinance No. 4, as amended by Charter Ordinance No. 50, is hereby changed and amended to read as follows:

       “SECTION 2.  The regular meetings of the commission shall be on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, and shall commence at the hour of 7:00 p.m.  A call signed by the mayor, or by a majority of the commission, shall be sufficient warrant for a special meeting on the date and at the hour designated in the call.”

SECTION 2.  Charter Ordinance No. 50 is hereby repealed.
