For the purpose of this code, the entire city is hereby declared to be and is hereby established a fire district comprised of Fire Zone One and Fire Zone Two. Fire Zone One shall comprise all of the real estate and structures situated and being within the boundaries hereinafter described. All real estate and structures not located or situated within the confines of Fire Zone One, as hereinafter described, shall be deemed to be in Fire Zone Two. The boundaries of Fire Zone One shall be as follows:

Beginning at the point of intersection of the south line of East Seventh Street with the west line of Kansas Avenue at the south line of the right-of-way of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway; Thence south to the middle line of East Broadway; Thence west to the south line of said railway right-of-way; Thence southwest along the south line of said right-of-way to the centerline of Walnut Street; Thence south to the centerline of East Sixth Street; Thence west to the south line of said railway right-of-way; Thence southwesterly along the south line of said right-of-way to the centerline of Pine Street; Thence south to the south line of East Fifth Street; Thence west to the northeast comer of Lot 9, Block 41; Thence south along the east line of Lot 9 and Lot 10 in said Block 41 and to the south line of East Fourth Street; Thence west to the northeast comer of Lot 7 in Block 48; Thence south along the east line of Lot 7 and of Lot 8 in said Block 48 to the centerline of East Third Street; Thence west to the centerline of Oak Street; Thence south to the centerline of East Second Street; Thence west to the west line of the alley running north and south in Block 54; Thence south to a point 100 feet south of the northeast corner of Lot 1 in Block 3 of Steele’s Addition; Thence west to the center of South Main Street; Thence north to the center of West First Street; Thence west to the center of the intersection of Old Main Street and West First Street; Thence north on the centerline of the alley west of Main Street to the south line of West Second Street; Thence west to the intersection of the south line of West Second Street with the south line of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway right-of-way; Thence south to the south line of West First Street; Thence west to the intersection of the south line of West First Street and the east or south line of Diagonal Street, extended; Thence northeasterly along the south line of Diagonal Street to the center of North Ash Street; Thence north to the centerline of West Fifth Street; Thence east to the west line of Plum Street; Thence north to the centerline of the alley between West Broadway and West Seventh Street; Thence east to the west line of Poplar Street; Thence north to the north line of Seventh Street; Thence east to the west line of the alley lying west of Main Street; Thence north to the centerline of West Ninth Street; Thence east to a point directly north of the northwest corner of Lot 15 in Block 19: Thence south along the west line of Lot 15 to the center of the alley between the north half and the south half of said Block 19; Thence east to the northeast comer of Lot 22; Thence south to the center of East Eighth Street; Thence east to the center of Oak Street; Thence south to the south line of East Seventh Street; Thence east to the place of beginning.
