A CHARTER ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 5 AND 6 OF CHARTER ORDINANCE NO. 24 OF THE CITY OF NEWTON, KANSAS, CHANGING THE POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE CONVENTION AND TOURISM COMMITTEE CREATED THEREUNDER, AND REPEALING THE EXISTING SECTIONS.

WHEREAS, the City of Newton, Kansas, under authority of Article 12, Section 5 of the Constitution of the State of Kansas, duly adopted and published, as required by law, Charter Ordinance No. 24, exempting the city from K.S.A 12-1696 to 12-16,1010, inclusive, and provided substitute and additional provisions concerning the use of a tourism and convention fund, and also created a Convention and Tourism committee, and the governing body does now desire to change the provisions of said Charter Ordinance, NOW THEREFORE,

Section 1. (Repealed by C.O. 44.)

Section 2. (Repealed by C.O. 44.)

Section 3. (Repealed by C.O. 44.)

Section 4. Sections 5 and 6 of Charter Ordinance 24 are hereby repealed.
